The beefcake who came out of the bathroom in Addison's hotel room was the very same guy she had the affair with that started the whole Addison/Derek downward spiral. Talk about timing. (Let's pretend for a second we don't know this is scripted.) But it was just moments after both Derek and Addison declared their marriage was over. She didn't waste any time. Then again, finding someone else's panties in your husband's tux might make any woman do crazy things. Other notables from the second episode: Bailey showed she's still the tough "nazi" supervisor of all the interns, but (after much urging - even by Alex) she was human enough to help Izzie stop her baking frenzy and encourage her to go back to being a doctor. Meredith didn't flip a coin between McDreamy and Finn...

The catch phrase from last season, which I am embarassed to admit has made its way into my vocabulary, is a perfect response to the preview to tonight. SERIOUSLY??? Is Meredith SERIOUSLY going to flip a coin to decide between Derek and Finn?
I'm thinking the woman needs to get a grip. And by that I mean - she needs to grab her second chance with McDreamy with both hands. Sure. He's a typical guy who wants it all. He wants his marriage to work because it's like a pair of comfortable shoes he doesn't want to throw out. It goes to show that men can succumb to guilt. He ALSO wants the butterflies and tingly excitement that comes with pursuing a new love. I know Finn's hat is "in the ring," but I'm just not feeling it. Am I wrong?

Okay, so everyone is leaning toward Team Meredith it appears and I get that.

What do you think about how the writers are softening Cristina up a little. I do like seeing that she is human, but what made her character so appealing to start with was her drive and her honesty, even if it was harsh sometimes... i just loved it. Do we really want to see her crack, just because she is falling in love with a man? What does that say about a driven woman...derailed at the first chance at a love affair? Or maybe just showing us that even driven, hard-edge people really do have feelings somewhere under the tough exterior? What do you guys want to see? Mean or Nice? Tough or soft?

Or should we say Team McDreamy or Team Finn? Call me old-fashioned, but Derek and Addison are still married, therefore Addison and Derek should stay together and make it work OR get it over with and move on. But, of course if they did that, the whole premise of Derek and Meredith's struggle with love and infidelity would be done and maybe so would the show.

I don't know what is going to happen with these two....but I think it will get interesting. I gotta say though, I think I am on Team Addison right now.

Okay, so I think the premiere completely lived up to the finale from last year.

And, holding the other woman’s panties would actually make me puke I think. But, yes, in the opening scenes we know exactly who (Addison) found Meredith’s missing panties – the smoking gun so to speak.

“I lost my panties last night” sez Meredith. I can honestly say that those words have never crossed my lips!!

And I love that Alex is now the good guy whisking the sick baby out of the ER away from the flu-laden people!! As a mom…God, I love him now. What a storyline on the baby, but maybe I missed something....why was the baby going to die if they didn't identify the mom? I will have to watch the TIVO again unless anyone has the easy answer.

Can you believe that George wouldn’t say I love you to Callie and Derek FINALLY told Meredith he was in love with her!! ARGH! I hate that Derek is now putting the burden on choosing on Meredith after he admittedly chose wrong. Somehow, telling her to choose without saying he was leaving Addison seems a little weak. I predict that Meredith sticks with Finn and continues to cheat on Finn because she won't be able to decide.

And, if you didn’t cry when Cristina cried, well you are just a cold, cold person. Who doesn't want to tell their loved ones never to die. Don't you love it when Cristina reveals that soft, sensitive human side...but really don't you love it even more when she is acerbic?

I gotta say, I have always had a hard time watching medical shows because people always die and I don't like sad shows.....I want to laugh. But, Grey's is so great about knowing when to add those comedic punches to keep me watching. Can't wait for next week!!

I am a self-confessed, obsessed fan of Grey's Anatomy and therefore will be leading the blog on Grey's this year. Tonight, it finally returns and the writers are promising the following:

THIS IS ALL FROM THE WRITERS....NOT ME!!!!
"....And all I have to say is…we are going places you can’t imagine. Or maybe you can imagine but you don’t expect. And I want to tell you, really I do but…well, I’m trying to keep it to myself.

The first episode is going to take place pretty much where the end of Season Two left off. Because I don’t believe in jumping ahead three months and leaving people scratching their heads and muttering, “Dude…what happened while we were away?” I feel like SO much happened at the end of last season that I owe it to the characters to have them deal with the aftermath. And I owe it to you to let you watch the aftermath. Cause Denny died (yeah, I’m still not over that – I saw Jeff Dean Morgan a week ago at the DVD release party and almost burst into tears of joy and hugged him for about ten minutes because it was like Denny was back and alive and in my arms…but alas, it was just JDM who is super-cute and incredibly talented and has grown this adorably sexy scruffy stubble but is, in fact, not actually Denny anymore because Denny is dead) and Burke got shot and Meredith lost her panties…

Those panties…dude, those panties play a big part in the first couple of episodes. Those panties are key. Cause Meredith never put them back on. She rushed out to deal with Izzie and left Derek who was asking “Meredith, what does this mean?” and she never had a chance to put those panties back on. So watch for the panties – and I don’t just mean the shot in the promos that has them on the bulletin board in the hospital.

The first episode (which is called “Time Has Come Today”) deals with, not just the aftermath, but also with the past. I encourage you to watch the original very first episode of Grey’s Anatomy from Season One because, if you pay attention to the dialogue and the details, you will be rewarded in this premiere episode with some (hopefully) very interesting tidbits. And I hate the word “tidbits” but it does describe what I mean perfectly. This first episode of Season Three is meant to reward hardcore fans -- it’s also meant to bring us to a place where we can say goodbye to Denny as well as deal with the Mer/Der/Finn of it all. Just remember that nothing is ever wrapped up easily on this show. Because things aren’t neat and clean in real life."

(can I just say that I predicted Denny was going to die....they had me for a bit when they gave him the new heart, but then alas....he died!)
So now, I guess I will have to watch that very first episode again to see what is so important about those tidbits.

Hi Grey's fans! I am an avid television fan and am thankful that I actually get to work in the industry I love to watch. I own three TIVOs and am currently recording the following shows: Grey's Anatomy, Lost, Nip/Tuck, Prison Break, Six Degrees, Dancing with the Stars, Desperate Housewives.....and I will probably add the Nine when it starts. I also TIVO a lot of home improvement shows!
