Hitting the "Pause" Button

This week, "Grey's Anatomy" hits the pause button. Tonight, Grey's fans get a double dose of their favorite fix. Yes!
But they're reruns.
Not that I mind... mind you. I could watch Patrick Dempsey read the phone book.
But it made me wonder what you guys are thinking about Season 3.
• Are you liking what you see, so far?
Some of you have said the show is derailing into too much soap drama. (Of course, that's the part I love - I could give two hoots about the medical stuff.) Also - what are your thoughts about the directions of the characters?

• I'm seeing a major split-factor when it comes to Callie. There's no middle ground here. People either LOVE her... or HATE her. I've also heard some of you say how much Addison has grown on you and you want to see good things ahead for her.

• And what do you make of the real-life confession from T.R. Knight (which... by the way led to an on-set fight between Isaiah Washington and Patrick Dempsey! CLICK HERE for more on that story!)
Do you think his homosexuality will lead to a new path for George O'Malley?

• And Mer/Der fans and foes... what's ahead for them?
We want to know what you think...

Guilty Pleasures

Did you LOVE this week's show? Talk about a guilty pleasure.
It is certainly mine.
Can I just say the exes who got caught stuck together was a stroke of genius! Not to mention HYSTERICAL.

Okay... back to business. The episode definitely lived up to the title, "Oh, the Guilt."
Let's get a quick rundown, shall we?

There was Addison's reluctant confession to McDreamy that her one-night-stand with Mark was much, much more.

Everyone's guilt over Denny's death... even Alex's guilt that he did nothing.

Izzie's guilt for EVERYTHING: Burke getting shot, Denny dying, inheriting millions... By the way - The interaction with Burke was priceless. ("We're NOT 'fine'!")
O'Malley feeling guilty over ditching Callie to be with Izzie.

Callie's guilt over sleeping with Sloan. (Well, maybe... I'm not sure)

Oh my! I'm sure I am missing some.
So many doors cracked open... and some closed for good.

What will Izzie do with her new-found fortune?
Why is Derek giving Meredith the cold shoulder?
Are Callie and O'Malley really through?
Will the mean doc who tormented Bailey in M&M start showing up more? (I kinda like him.)
Somebody's going to bust Burke... Who will it be?

Keep reading to see a few more of my picks and pans from "Oh, the Guilt!"
PLUS: a video clip previewing NEXT week!

"Oh, The Guilt"

That's the title of tonight's episode. Sounds like something I can relate to. Guilt. I'm a master of practicing it and doling it out. So, I'll have the popcorn ready and plan to be front and center for whatever's coming next.
1018_mcdreamy.jpg Here's what I know: We're going to learn more about Addison and Mark's relationship. We knew there had to be more to it than one night of hot sex way back when, right? And while I'm intrigued, I have to admit I'm a little worried. I've actually come to LIKE the Ice Princess. When she was first introduced, I couldn't WAIT for Derek to sign the divorce papers and give the (her words, not mine) "adulteress bitch" what she had coming.
But now, I really LIKE her. Dang it. It's very confusing when there's not a clear-cut bad guy. Watch for a great zinger from Derek, though, about an old futon. It'll be priceless.
OKAY!
McDreamy and Meredith.
Derek was "walking away," remember? So, now that Meredith has made her choice and the coast is clear, what's next? Puleeez tell me no more "dating."
Watch for an episode recap... and I can't WAIT to hear what you think.

Here's a preview of tonight's episode... Enjoy!

Warriors in Pink

The doctors of Seattle Grace are tossing aside scrubs for Warriors in the Pink wear, and they want you to join them. It's actually part of a deal with Ford Motor Company which is a huge sponsor for the Komen Race for the Cure events. Check out the clothes cast members are modeling. All the money for the merchandise goes to fight breast cancer. You can also enter the "Grey's Anatomy" Sweepstakes for a chance to win a trip to the set of "Grey's Anatomy" or a Ford Fusion.

"Back In Time" / Au Revoire Simone
"So - Lo" / Kate Havnevik
"Province" / TV On The Radio
"Fall For Nothing" / Mindy Smith

What I Am...what I think!

I'm angry. $*&!!@!!! We are right back where we started! Meredith chasing Derek who doesn't think he should be with her. But, at least maybe the wimpy man is gone...Finn. I predict lots of carnal happenings in empty hospital rooms while Derek tries to avoid an actual relationship with Meredith.

And, GO CALLIE!!! But, sadly, it will be a mistake and I am sure a hidden mistake at that -- if McSteamy actually went to her room. I gotta say, Callie is quickly emerging as one of my favorite cast members.

What did Denny leave Izzie?

So what do you think Denny left for Izzie?

"He didn't tell you the truth. It's for you. From Denny" ...and Denny's father hands Izzie an envelope...

Could it be money? Debt? A simple note? Code to his safely secured sperm bank?

What do you think?

Who is McSteamy?

Not that it really MATTERS... because I'm going to watch ANYWAY. But I was beginning to wonder about Eric Dane -- a.k.a. McSteamy. Who is he? Where's he BEEN?
I mean when I saw Patrick Dempsey in the previews, promos and interviews for Grey's Anatomy, I'm old enough to remember him (yes, I admit it!) as the lovable Loverboy (1989) pizza deliveryman who knows when certain customers ask for extra anchovies... they're really looking for something else! And that's from the early days of his long list of movie credits.
So what about this Dane guy?

Wimpy Men

107196_019_ful.jpg
Please tell me that you all were getting tired of McDreamy and Finn happily battling it out over Meredith? I don't think two guys in the real world would vie for a woman like that. I want to see some real men with a little testosterone coursing through their blood!! Which leads me to agreeing with Katharyn....McSteamy is the the new man of this show.

I was a little surprised at Cristina's response to "pain". After hearing McDreamy telling the brain surgery guy's wife that he was going to need lots of support, etc., I thought she was going to go home and be more "motherly" to Burke. But, of course, that was a dumb thought, because that wouldn't be Cristina! Burke even seems a little wimpy
now.

What a change we are seeing in Alex now. He has become the most responsible intern of them all...I am looking forward to seeing where he is going. He isn't a wimp thank goodness...yet.

So, do you think Finn and McDreamy are wimpy for fawning over Meredith so happily?

No Pain, No Gain

Well, it's probably no accident that pain was the theme of Episode 3.
What was the quote? "Maybe it hurts for a reason."

The little "super hero" girl who couldn't FEEL pain, taught everyone a lesson about why it's necessary to hurt. (I have to admit, I winced a little bit when she pulled out the staples...)

Let's see:

Burke realized he'll have to hurt to get his dexterity - and confidence - back.

Cristina found out she'll have to suffer through his recovery, if she's going to be a good girlfriend.

Meredith found out double-dating is NO fun, when the men in her life start measuring you-know-whats, trying to one-up the other... ignoring HER.

Addison soothed her pain with hot sex then kicks McSteamy to the curb only to be caught crying (by MEREDITH, no less) in a supply closet. Ouch.

Little Women

Let's chat about the leading ladies, shall we?
I'm going to give you my opinions (because I CAN!! Ha-HAH!) ... and I want to hear yours. Predictions welcome, too! We can see who is the best at picking up those "foreshadowing" bread crumb trails writers are SO good at tossing out for us to find. Here goes:

MEREDITH
I admit it. I'm a Meredith fan. She's all sweet and pretty and vulnerable and smart and funny and I love her. I'm also furious with her. What does she MEAN dating two men? Doesn't she know that's trouble? Women I know who've done that (including me a long, long time ago) wound up LOSING them both. Gracious. And I'm not sure I'd like one of them (no names.. ok, FINN) to keep showing up unannounced at my home and work. Seems a little desperate. Okay... I'm getting off on a BOY tangent. I'll save that for later.
