Ham and Eggs???
You're not going to believe this. I already wrote this once... and got to the VERY end and lost it. Don't you HATE it when that happens? Argh.
Ok - here goes (again):
So am I the only one who just DID NOT get the whole 'Ham and Eggs' thing? Maybe it was a guy thing. It didn't make any sense at all to me. The ONLY thing I liked about it was the dialogue it set up between George and Callie. (Seriously. Should you ever - under any circumstance - use the word 'PIG' in a conversation with a woman you're trying to woo? Uh. No.) It was pretty funny. As for that whole relationship, I think Callie is smart to keep backing up. She's right. Unless George is ready to catch her, he shouldn't keep chasing. And I thought it was pretty clear by his face when she said that... he's not ready.
Back to Ham and Eggs. The guy whose fiancee had the two uteruses made me CRY when he went back to her after she delivered their son... even though she was still carrying a baby girl that wasn't his. Wow. That's a real man.

So that leads me to Derek. I love him. Don't get me wrong. But WHAT is going on with him?
He needs SPACE?
Excuse me!?
Men don't need SPACE!
He wants Meredith.
And... She ditched Mr. Nice Guy for him!
What am I missing?
And he'd better get a move on before McSteamy moves in.
(BTW, from now on, I've dubbed him "McSleazy.")
In the next episode Meredith is going to be working with Mark rather closely while the "guys" take a bonding moment and go camping. Let's just hope there's no tequila lying around.
As for the next episode, I'm not sure how excited I am to watch a bunch of guys hanging out in nature... but I'll probably tune in just to see Derek in a cute fishing getup.

A little sidebar rant, here: Can I be a bit catty? What is UP with Meredith's hair? Is it me or does it look like she needs a decent color job and a shampoo? Sorry, I digress.
I'm glad Izzie is back. Looking forward to her next well-meaning screw up. The recogition of what was going on with the burn victim was a great way to reintroduce her. But are we ever going to resolve what she's going to do with the millions?
Can we take a moment to talk about Alex? Believe me, it's not lost on me that this is the guy we all loved to hate. And now, I find myself rooting for him. I love that he was so interested in what was going on with Two-Preggers woman that he hung up Mark Sloan's cell phone to scrub in on the surgery... KNOWING he was risking his future in plastics. Way to go! And I loved how he jumped in to calm the baby girl twin during the delicate surgery. Amazing.
I think my favorite part of the last episode was watching Chandra Wilson in action. Her portrayal of Miranda Bailey has so many layers. She's my favorite character, I think. I mean who else pulls off playing the "Nazi" (who puts Izzie in her place on her first day back), then shows such vulnerability (when she didn't get to scrub in on the Humpty surgery). Her armor really cracked when (what gumption!) she confronted Burke about it and was met with "I just couldn't use you." Ouch. And talk about a cliff hanger! Her face was so telling when she realized what Cristina was doing on the surgical board. I can't wait to see what happens next with that.
Speaking of The Great Cover-Up: What do you think? Is Cristina protecting Burke for Burke's sake? Or for her own? I'm wondering how much of her motivation is really love and how much is really ambition. Call me a cynic.
Here's the preview for the November 9th episode.
Movable Type 4.1
Ham: You commit (die for the meal)
Chicken (providing the eggs): You're involved....but you don't actually "lose yourself" in the process.
yes. her hair is bad....maybe it's a metaphor to how she's feeling?
lifeless? Didn't she even have curls one episode in the past?
Derek made it very clear. talking to his sis (with a strange accent) that Mer was very important to him...more important than Addison ever was. He could have been more convincing with the whole "space talk". I fear what is coming. They wouldn't do that to us...would they????
Thanks, Kim, for clearing that up.
I understand now.
And I hope you're not right about Derek and Meredith. That would be a bummer. Wouldn't it?
Derek needs to start saying "oink."
I am sooooooo happy that Meredith didn't make the wrong choice again! What is with McSteamy and Derek's women? I hope his pursuit of her stops, that would just be too much if those two got together.
And what is with Meredith's hair color, it makes her look even more tired than she usually looks and its lifeless.
Also Addison's life is getting as sorry as Merdeith's life was last season. They need to have her hook up with alex, bring some fun back in her and his life.
Superb! (I wrote something else and then I read below that I aint supposed ter. So I deleted it.)
