"They Fired the Wrong Guy"....says Washington.
NEW YORK (AP) -- Isaiah Washington, fired this month from "Grey's Anatomy" following the firestorm he started with a homophobic invective, hit back at the network Thursday.
"They fired the wrong guy," the 43-year-old actor said in an interview with the Houston Chronicle.
He blames former cast mate T.R. Knight for stoking the scandal that led him to lose his role in the ABC hit. Knight is the one who should have been let go, he told the newspaper.

More: The Doctor is Out
Fired "Grey's Anatomy" star Isaiah Washington is speaking out. In an interview with "Entertainment Weekly" he says what's written about him is not the truth. And what's transpired with the show was a horrible misunderstanding blown out of proportion. But he says he's moving forward. He says he's gotten tons of offers in both film and T-V. And that one network in particular is very interested. But he can't say anything specific 'til it's a done deal. Hmm.
Here's more on ABC's decision.

Pay Nitpickings
So now that the George issue is settled, at least off-camera... What's going on with the rest of the Grey's Group? They're all apparently wrangling over money. Here's some scoop.
George will be back!
Season Four of Grey's Anatomy will have George in it! We'll get to learn, after all, what "life" has in store for him after he flunked his intern exam. T.R. Knight reportedly signed a deal that will pay him $125,000 an episode to stay as a full-time cast member. Entertainment Weekly also reports he and his fellow cast members will get a portion of the show's profits.
We all wondered if he'd be back. The cliff-hanger ending of Season Three set us up to think he wouldn't be back, and we all probably figured it had more to do with an off-screen drama. Who can forget the brouhaha Isaiah Washington (Dr. Preston Burke) started when he called Knight a terrible name at the Golden Globes. As for Burke, we don't know what's ahead for him. Guess we'll have to stay tuned. Here's the EW story.
