Isaiah Washington is out!

I refuse to watch Grey's
Anatomy now that Washington
will be gone and that means also Diahnn Carrol will be gone also. I am done.

Burke is one of my favorite characters on the show. I think there might be a backlash from fans. Considering that he went to "rehab" and did a promotion to speak out against hate language this seems a bit extreme. But, of course, we never know both sides of the story.

I'm just sad that Burke will be gone and Cristina will be looking for a new Mr. Yang.

Without Isaiah Washington the show will not be the same. It is sad that all decision made these days are based on being "Politically Correct" and there is no room for forgiveness. I will not be watching the show this upcoming season.

I am SO sad. Really. I love Burke. No Addy OR Burke? Bah.

Of course I can't give up on my show...but I'm sad. Shonda better step it up though.

I will miss the character of Burke as well, but there have to be some consequence for Washington's actions. If someone had used a racial slur against him (twice), I believe he would have expected that person to be let go.

you kept the big baby george, you kept the mac dummys, the cry baby grey, the loser you interns, welli am gone no burke no me,he was my best character, the only reason i stay so long because it was getting dumb.well i am off this wa the only show i watch on abc now there is none.

i never really liked Burke. I always thought he was kind of a jerk and an extra character that was too big of a character on Grey's. I'm going to miss Addison though. she was by far one of my favorites. and to comment on "inger"s comment, if there weren't any big baby george, mac dummys, cry baby grey, and loser interns there wouldn't be a show so Burke would exist anyways. I'm happy burke is gone. i will miss burke but i don't think it should make that big of an impact on the show. I agree with "kirsten". someone who made wrong comments on a co-worker should suffer major consequences. I am going to definetly continue watching Grey's Anatomy. :D

No one character makes the show so no one character is going to break it. The very, very talented creators and writers do a fabulous job or this would not be the hit it is. I will miss Burke's character and hate to see this happen, but had the tables been turned, as Kyla said, and the remarks been racially slanted and spoken by a white person, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would have a new mission. As it is, we have Rosie O'Donnell and Ellen Degeneres. We all stand up for our own and that's as it should be, but the need should not arise. In my opinion, every person has a right to be what he/she is without fear of labeling and hate motivated slurs. This is the world we've created - a world of no tolerance. Everyone's looking for a reason to hate or be angry. We make issues out of movie stars and heiresses in jail while half the world is starving and living in fear. How small and insignificant can we really be?

Oh Katrina wake up honey! I guess you need a little lesson on Prejudice and name calling. See, prejudice is calling someone a racial slur. That has a much more profound effect because someone who is of a different race (be that black, white, or whatever, not just african american), is affected more because they can't do anything about it. Now yes, one's sexual preference can be thought of in the same light, however, unless you are in full drag, people have to guess if you're gay or not. When you are of a different color, it's pretty obvious most of the time. So, is it the same regarding what Washington said? No! What Washington said was out of line, but is George emotionally damaged for life because of it? Please! George needs to grow a friggin' back bone! Now I'm not condoning what Washington said, but for George to go on television to complain about it, after the studio asked him not too, personally, I think they should have fired them both! PERIOD!! Make an example out of everyone! If the studio really had the guts, they would have done that! Because that would have thrown down the gauntlet saying we're not dealing with this bull@#$@ from ANYONE! But no. George got on his little pulpit, whined a little, and now everyone wants to hold his hand. Please George! You didn't help the homosexual community. You hurt it. And you hurt it, because you have no integrity George. Because if you DID have integrity, you would have dealt with this off screen in a professional manner. THEN I would have applauded you for your professionalism, and tact. But you didn't do that. You acted like a whinny little girl after someone pulled up your dress and exposed your dirty panties. I have a few good friends in the business who are gay George. And I can tell ya, they are not happy with you at all. They are not happy with Washington, but your little stunt didn't help there world at all, because you went about it in a dehumanizing way. You should have just handled it in a professional manner, with your integrity. Oh, wait, you have to have integrity in order to use it. Well you can't fire me from the show George!

Richard: Wake up honey! You're an idiot. Blacks can legally marry, they enjoy the benefits of Affirmative Action and have the legal right to take action against those who discriminate against them. Can all people tell that they are black? For the most part, yes. However, the moment people find out you are gay you can lose your family, friends, job, you cant get married and there is legally, very little you can do about it. So, sorry Richard. Wake up! There is no reason to get TR fired. If he called IW the "N" word, the same outcome would have happened. Ignorance = Ignorance. Wake up!

Oh, btw...his character had been annoying me for two seasons. Im glad he's gone.

Oh, and Richard...why is it whining when a gay person is upset that the "F" word was used and not whining when a black person is upset by the "N" word? If you are going to complain about whining, look to Isaiah Washington who has been moaning for months now and continues to do so. Not only that, his stories are inconsistent. First it was TR and Patrick Dempseys conspiracy to oust him. Now, all of a sudden it is a racist thing? Did he forget that Shonda Rhimes is the black female producer?

The show is done. Anyone with any smarts would never have come on Ellen Degenerous and spoke about this. People make mistakes. In Today's world mistakes follow you the rest of your life. It takes courage to admit your wrong. But Today so what, your career is over MF! Washington will NEVER work again, Knight and heigl are happy about it. I don't like them now. I'll never watch the show again.

I agree with Todd, Isaiah is an ass and he got what was coming to him. You can't say stuff like that in public and expect a pay raise.
